Mixed Media Piece, Drawing and Free Images

The collage below was worked over a few weeks.  I just kept leaving it and coming back to it.  I like how it turned out, but it still is not finished.  Its currently on drawing paper and I want to adhere it to something stronger.

The purple is dimensional paint stamped with a foam stamp and then painted a bit of blue in the leaves.

I'm continuing in my quest to learn how to draw whimsical girls.  Here's some of my practice ones.  Thanks again to Tam at Willowing for her free course.

Still working for the look I'm after, and I see improvement with ever practice.  Wish me luck with my finding my style.

Are you still holding on to summer.  I AM!  I can't even think about how soon we'll see it go without getting depressed.  Here are some images to have and enjoy from Shorpy's and Bumble Button.  I especially love everything ocean and beach!!

I was impressed at this tutorial.  Simple and cool.  I haven't yet tried one myself.  Let me know if you did.

Via Alt.Bks Yahoo Group:
The exhibit is called Art:Dewey Decimaled, and is asking for artwork that can be categorized by genre like poetry, mystery, fantasy, etc., or that celebrates the library. The entry deadline is actually this Friday, but artists have through the weekend should they need a little extra time.
Short notice but perhaps some of you can participate.  Sounds like a neat project.

Here's to Spring!!!!

Hi everyone.  Haven't had much ambition to create lately, unfortunately.  Here's something I created a while back and I don't think I ever post it.

Here are lots of awesome projects for inspiration from other artists and crafters and I'm sharing them with you here as well as some free images:

Summer Celebration 2010 -- Challenge Still Open

I hope you are enjoying the beautiful sounds of the ocean on my blog.  Try clicking on the down arrow by "video" to see the beautiful beach also.
Are you ready for the Summer Celebration?

There's still time to join the Summer Celebration link party if you haven't.  The linking post will go up this Friday, August 13, but you may enter your link anytime after that until the following Friday, August 17.  I know I said August 17, but I'll probably extend it a bit to give me more time.  I hate deadlines for funness (I'm making up a word :), don't you?  So, you have time to create your piece and write up your post to link it up.

Hope to see many of you link up. I can't wait to see all your pieces.

Don't forget about my giveaway for all that join in the link party.
And speaking of giveaways, here's one for you at:

A Crown and A Plethora of Tutorials and Videos

Welcome to all my new followers and all who have left me such sweet comments recently!
I have been visiting the blogs of my sorority sisters and busy creating a little.

Recent altered work I completed using a yard stick?  I'm still not sure its completed.  Sometimes things take a while to get finished.  I leave them sit for a while and come to it later and might then see what else I can do to it to improve.  Do you do that too?

Once again due to the generosity of many magnificent artists and crafters, those of us always on the search to learn more arting are so fortunate.  Here are some awesome resources that I've found recently:

From the awesome Milliande

Many techniques, projects and resources from Kim MacNutt.  Although some links are not working :(, there's still some that are that might be of help to you.

I also have been fortunate in Freecyling and have amazing old books that I'll share with you soon.  Also, got several vintage piano rolls that I will offer for sale.  It's the most unique paper to use in projects.

Celebrating summer is very important to me because summer is my favorite time of year.  I was already on vacation at the beach this summer, but I'm always thinking of it, always!!
So, here are some images for you to celebrate summer too.

Enjoy your weekend,

Generosity in Blogand Abounds!

No, I didn't just win a giveaway, or did I?  Here are some of the great loot of vintage jewelry I got at my friend's yard sale a couple of weeks ago.  She was so generous in giving me these without paying her.  Aren't they wonderful!  I can't wait to put them in some of my creations and really show them off.
There's a ton of pins with bling, necklaces, watches.  See those cool lockets?  And all the religious medals.

Wonderful giveaways for you not to be missed:
You have to see it to believe!!

Truly Chic!

Did you find this blog yet?  Great french images:

I'm always just amazed at the generosity of the bloggerworld, aren't you?  Enjoy the images and good luck on those giveaways. Don't forget to check out my other findings on awesome blogs by clicking into the "Bella Nella's Shared Items" on my side bar (right hand side).  This is where I regularly share tons of other blog posts from the many I subscribe to which are just amazing resources.

A great big welcome to my new followers.  Have a great weekend, everyone.  I'm off to thoroughly enjoy this weekend which it promises to be quite a gorgeous one.
