Well, after a very minor earthquake and some minor floods from hurricane Irene, things around Pennsylvania have calmed down. It was quite a week. We rarely see such events in this state, especially the quake. My thoughts are with those less fortunate states and the people who have been hit with real tragedies due to these events.

This is a small collage on plywood pieces I got from Dollar Tree; it was a pack of 12 or 15 for $1. In the background there's stamping, paper and also crepe paper which I also stamped.

This tag was made using images sent to me by

Inka from Altered Artifacts for examples to use in her Etsy site.

This is also with an image from Inka, the backgroupd Lilas one.  The canvas is a recycled CD.

I love Old Hollywood stars, so this is one of many others I have to put together in a book.

Thanks for visiting and stay safe out there.

I'm a Winner and Easy Peasy Coloring

Thanks to Lisa for permission to use her beautiful art piece image above

As I said in an earlier post, I visited a ton of blogs via the Whimsical Bohemian's One Heart One World event and I entered many of the giveaways.  I was extremely lucky in winning beautiful prizes from 3 separate blogs:
I will post photos of the treasures when I get them, in the meantime, visit these wonderful blogs.  Even though the giveaways are now done, you can still visit the blogs.  I've become a follower to many of the blogs in the OWOH event, and if you also are looking to visit the world, expand your horizons, learn and get inspiration, visit OWOH for an amazing trip around the blog world.  I love to see the creations from artist bloggers outside the US, so Lisa's Whimsical Bohemian's OWOH Blog is a great way to find international artists.  She even has them organized now in alpha order and lists the country they are from.
  And along the international line................................................

Just found an awesome video with a terrific way to color your stamped images very easily.  I'm all for no fuss creating, so this impressed me.  The author, Blanche, who is owner of a craft company that recently appeared with Tim Holtz on QVC Germany, is from Germany so for those of us that don't understand German, can't understand what she "tells", but can sure understand what she "shows".  So, enjoy!

Bits & Bubbles & Tags

Wonderful surprise! Here's the items that Kathy of Four Dog Day, my Bits & Baubles Swap partner sent me. Thanks, Kathy! Love all my bits & baubles and can't wait to put them to use. A special thanks to Malissa of Sleepy Hollow Folk Originals who organized this great swap.
Love that bling!!
The rose photo is one she took. Isn't it beautiful? And the black and white "love" photo is so cool too. I forgot to ask her about that one. Very original, no?

Finally, something I created. I love the glitter on this butterfly stamp. This green tag is still a work in progress.
Here's one on cream color and napkin trim at bottom. This was my first use of napkins and they're great to use. Did you ever see a very beautiful napkin and felt it shouldn't be used for its purpose, but then again, what? Well, now paper crafters come to the rescue.
Well, thanks for looking everyone.

Closer & Closer To Us

Christmas is getting closer, folks! As always things really move quick & hastily around this time of year. For the past couple of years, we made a decision to slow down, simplify. And so this year, mostly out of necessity and because its just smart for us, we're taking it easy. No scheduling overload, no gifts overload, no expensive gifts or unnecessary expenses. After all, what is the reason for the season, right?

Here are some tags/ornament cards I've made in the last few days to decorate one of our Christmas tree which will be our first Victorian-inspired tree. It'll have pink lights, pink glass balls, pink fiber and these. I'll post others as I finish.

The handle on this one was from a gift bag that broke. It made its way to my work table and it clicked! I could use that as a hanger. It truly happened that way.

I used the large scallop punch I just recently got for this one and a broken ponytail holder (the pearls). The background is package tissue from the $ store, which I love, by the way.

I got inspiration from Alice W. at Romantic Thoughts for this one. I loved heir and I kinda like the way mine turned out. These will all go on one of our Christmas trees.

Stop by Ink In My Paws , Nola is having a giveaway that can't be missed and neither can't her blog. She's a very talented lady. The recent visits from deer are cool too.

Blessings to you all,
