Butterfly for the Children

Hi everyone -- Here's my butterfly for the children of the Holocaust. I hope those of you participating will let us know too so we can check them all out.

I'm happy with the way it turned out, but as many times, I feel it is still not quite finished. Below is a picture of the Halloween banner I made recently with cute vintage images from here. You should check them out, they have many, many free beautiful images.

I just love the eery surprise I got after shooting these photos. The minute "glitter beads" gives it a look of lights shining in the spots I glue those beads. I'm not even sure where I even got them and what those little balls are called, but its not your typical glitter. Remember to click all pictures to enlarge.

Have a great rest of your weekend,

Your butterfly is beautiful...I love the muted antique white color scheme. And this is a great cause, which I only recently heard of.
I'm going to make one with my son..just a couple of days ago, we had to have a discussion about discrimination and we talked briefly (kindergarten version) about how horrible the Holocaust was.
Serendipitously yours,
Debra

That is so cool- I love to see the glow in the pictures where the beads are!

Thanks for coming by to visit and for the sweet compliments.

Love your art journals. Vintage is so beautiful. Your butterfly has inspired me. I just love butterflies.

I've told everyone I know about the cause and the project is on my to-do list.
